Mark Hurd
Mark Hurd (Marcus Antonio Hurd) served in the United States Army as a Health Services officer (AOC 67A), retiring at the rank of Colonel.
His career spanned more than thirty years of active service. He deployed to Iraq from March 2003 to April 2004 and to Afghanistan from July 2011 to June 2012. His military education includes the AMEDD Officer Basic Course, Command and General Staff College, and the Army War College.
His decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, and NATO Medal. He also wears the Combat Medical Badge, Expert Field Medical Badge, and Air Assault Badge.
He serves as a Committee Member of American Legion Post 38 in Floresville, Texas.
