American Legion Post 38 maintains a vibrant schedule of monthly activities that foster fellowship and address the needs of veterans in Floresville and Wilson County. Our regular meetings on the second Thursday of each month (7–9 p.m.) at the American Legion Hall provide an important opportunity for members and guests to share a meal, discuss Post business, plan upcoming events, and tackle veteran-related issues together.
These gatherings are welcoming and open, requiring no prior registration. They serve as the heartbeat of Post operations, allowing us to coordinate everything from community service projects to support for local youth programs. Discussions often cover legislative updates affecting veterans, ideas for new initiatives, and ways to better serve those in need.
Complementing the formal meetings are the popular Third-Thursday Veteran Tailgates (6:30–8 p.m.), open to all veterans for casual camaraderie. These relaxed events offer a low-pressure environment where veterans can connect, share stories, enjoy good food, and build the kind of brotherhood that defines the American Legion. No formal agenda — just genuine fellowship among those who have served.
Through these consistent activities, Post 38 strengthens the bonds that sustain our veteran community.
